UK-based project management specialist Lorien Engineering Solutions has agreed an alliance with global engineering consultant Mott MacDonald to provide brewing solutions to international customers.

Mott MacDonald - a wholly independent company with more than 8,000 staff engaged in development in over 100 countries - has considerable expertise in the fields of international project management, design engineering and project economics.

Lorien has over 20 years' experience of implementing brewing projects with capital values up to £40 million. Independence from equipment suppliers allows the company to provide impartial solutions, and numerous technical evaluations, business plans, development studies and designs are undertaken for breweries based outside the UK.

Both companies are anticipating major brewing industry expansion in a number of countries, and believe that significant opportunities exist for an alliance that can offer both technical and project management capability combined with the necessary geographical reach.
