GRC Mott MacDonald has extensive expertise in containment
engineering on three levels:
-
primary – the mechanical design detail of individual
items of equipment and systems
-
secondary – using isolator technology
-
tertiary – contained cleanrooms and facilities
Whether it is personnel or product that requires maximum
protection, our engineers have design capability that has
successfully applied to the nuclear and biopharmaceutical
industries.
GRC Mott MacDonald has had a leading design involvement in a
wide range of containment projects involving:
-
cytotoxics
- genetically modified organisms
- pathogens
- flammable materials
- environmentally sensitive materials
GRC Mott MacDonald developed a design for a contained cleanroom and
is the joint patent holder of this technology. We have also
designed or modified complex plant and equipment to provide high
levels of primary containment.
Our engineers have experience with the design, construction and
validation of rigid stainless steel, flexible film, half suit and
whole suit isolators.
