Microbiological safety cabinets

Safety cabinets come in three different classes depending upon the need to protect your product, your operators or both.

Safety cabinets are used to provide a continual moving air flow in a direction away from the operator and product, thus reducing the possibility of hazardous chemical/biological buildup that the operator may be exposed to whilst in some cases also protecting your product against contamination.

Class I

For use with biological agents up to ACDP Hazard Group 3; the sample does not require protection from the surrounding environment.

Class II
Provides protection to both operator and product up to ACDP Hazard Group 3.

Class III
Totally enclosed cabinet provides operator safety and product protection for handling biological agents up to Hazard Group 4.
