GRC Mott MacDonald has often carried out complete turnkey
projects, both as a response to a call for tenders from a client
and also as a continuation of study or design work already
successfully completed.
We are happy to accept full responsibility for carrying out the
design, engineering, procurement, construction and installation,
commissioning and validation of new or upgraded facilities for the
client.
In executing the project we work closely with the client and apply
the skills outlined elsewhere such as process design, project
management and validation. We utilise our own experienced personnel
augmented with specialists, such as structural or civil engineers,
ventilation design and commissioning engineers from elsewhere
within the Mott MacDonald group, or employ third parties well known
to us.
Mobile IsolatorTurnkey projects offer the
client the benefit of a defined project outcome in terms of
performance and cost, with a single point of responsibility. This
does require a high degree of specification at the outset to allow
the contractor to price the scope of works accurately.
We have successfully utilised a mixed model, where early design
development (assisting the client in examining and honing his
requirements) is carried out either reimbursably or for a fixed
fee. This generates a sufficiently detailed project definition,
enabling the execution to be carried out on a lump sum or other
agreed basis.
